Michelle's story

Michelle's story

Michelle's story...I gave up drinking on my 39th birthday, and in March this year I'll be 5 years sober.
I had a breakdown 4 1/2 years ago and spent time in hospital. With the medication I'm on, it says do not drink alcohol so I made that decision to stop drinking to help myself get well again.
It turns out I have bipolar which I didn't know about. I also have cystic fibrosis.
Through sobriety, my life is getting better. I have a job now, which also helps my mental health massively.
If your thinking of stopping drinking, go for it. You won't regret it. Take it one day at a time.

Recovery is possible: An addict's story

"Recovery is Possible" is a raw and unfiltered journey through addiction, trauma, and the fight for sobriety. Matt, a recovering alcoholic and survivor of childhood abuse, shares his first year of recovery—not as a doctor, but as someone who has lived it.

Through personal reflections, strategies, and hard-earned lessons, he offers a guide for those battling addiction. From childhood trauma to public accountability, Matt’s story proves that change is possible, no matter how deep the struggle.

The proceeds form the sale of this book supports the sober coach hub and the initiative, helping others on their path to recovery.
